Everest Value School is looking for Playground staff for elementary and middle school.
The playground position is Monday-Friday for 5hrs-8hrs for a competitive pay rate.
Playground Staff responsibilities include:
- Monitor, supervise, and assist in student safety during outdoor student activities (Recess, Lunch)
- Supervise students during breakfast, recess and lunch time, and students on the school grounds in general
- encourage and remind students of acceptable behavior
- ensure students remain in properly assigned areas
- ensure students keep the areas of activities clean and organized
- report any unsafe conditions or equipment on the playground or any other areas as deemed necessary to the playground supervisor
- report all accidents or injuries to proper authority and complete appropriate form(s)
- provide first-aid assistance for accidents
- instruct and monitor students in their proper conduct on the playground areas and when participating in student games.
- Knowledge of basic: school safety rules, principles of first aid, and understanding of child growth; development, and attitudes.
- maintain acceptable standards of behavior among students in the playground
- Work cooperatively with playground team
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Assist in assignments from leadership team
Qualifications:
- Desire to work with students grades TK-8th
- Ability to adapt to school requirements and needs
- Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
