We are searching for a PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST to strengthen our Procurement team in Tampere, Finland.
As our Procurement Specialist, you should have a strong background in purchasing and procurement, and your area of expertise is preferably in the manufacturing industry (E.g. mechanics and/or electronics). As an individual, you are proactive, have great organizational skills, and you are eager to learn and develop various processes. You will work closely with our R&D/Engineering, Operational Purchasing, and Quality teams.
Your areas of responsibility include:
- Strategic sourcing
- Cost reduction projects and –implementation
- Request for quotations, biddings and agreement negotiations with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Supplier and sub-contractor management and development
- Sourcing reporting and follow-up
- Other procurement related responsibilities
You will succeed with
- A commercial or technical background with a B. Sc. or M.Sc. degree in relevant fields such as Procurement, Supply Chain management, Engineering, Project Management and/or Production
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Excel
- Experience in SAP or similar ERP-systems
- Experience in interpreting technical drawings to manufacturability and costing
- Good problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Good co-operational skills to work with both internal and external stakeholders
- Fluent communication skills in both Finnish and English
