As a Sourcing Manager at Piab you will take on a broad scope of responsibilities including sourcing category responsibility, secure procurement's deliverables in prioritized NPI projects and take an active part in driving improvements of processes and methods that we use.
We are looking for a person with broad experience and competence to take on the sourcing responsibility for a broad set of categories. We put big value in the candidates capabilities to drive and project manage initiatives independently such as cost out initiatives or design to value initiatives. Piab is buying a broad set of commodities so the category responsibility for this role can be slightly adjusted depending on the candidate's experience and aspirations for the future.
Responsibilities:
Implement and drive initiatives for assigned sourcing categories.
Drive cross functional initiatives with the aim to significantly improve quality, delivery precision, total cost and/or sustainability.
Supplier search and qualification of new suppliers globally.
Proactively evaluate, develop and quality assure the supplier base.
Negotiate prices, terms and conditions and set up agreements with key suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment terms over time.
Drive and monitor compliance activities in the supplier base.
Participate in new product introduction and product maintenance projects, drive strategic supplier selection, prototyping, samples and parts qualification.
Drive process improvement and implement tools and methods within the sourcing team well as cross functional

As a Sourcing Manager at Piab you will work in an international environment, closely with our global supplier base, as well as internal functions within operations, R&D, product management and other stakeholders

To be successful in this role we believe you have:
Higher degree in Engineering / Industrial management / Supply Chain Management or similar.
a minimum of 5 years of work experience with strategic sourcing in a producing/industrial company (direct spend). Backgrounds within commodity sourcing and/or project sourcing are both highly relevant
Ability to drive and lead cross functional sourcing initiatives and projects independently
Sourcing category experience within various areas of direct material is a merit
Experience within mentioned areas injection moulding, electronics, pneumatics is a strong merit
Analytical with ability to collect, analyse and present data to support decisions and strategies
Strong negotiation skills
Communicative and relationship building
Structured with good problem-solving capabilities
Ability to multi-task
Interest and a good understanding of various manufacturing technologies
Experience in search, qualification and development of suppliers
Fluency in English and Swedish, oral and written
You will report directly to Head of Procurement and you will be located at our HQ in Stockholm, Danderyd.
